I wanted to have fun with this with him since I was going on holiday to visit. The present came the day after I arrived which was wonderful…installed the following day and set off for 5 days of fishing. This device is superb!

The monitors are intuitive. It took some effort to find out how to use the more sophisticated features, yet we could use straight out of the box right when we bought it.

Satellite reception is great. Our other GPS cannot locate satellites indoors or if it is cloudy – and the reception drops each time, we pass underneath a bridge. This unit is top-notch. I never had an instance where I could not receive adequate satellite reception to navigate.

Extremely happy I purchased it!

Thus far the 60CX is definitely well worth the cost. Quick acquisition of satellites - even inside the home. Easy to understand instruction/directions plus the buttons are a lot easier compared to the joystick on the Legend. I am going to point out basic map which comes as standard on the 60Cx is actually inadequate however I was able to download my own Mapsource topo's from the Legend. Also comes along with its very own memory card.

A bit big for merely hiking in the forest, yet I use it for travel in my vehicle and on my 1-5 mile strolls. This is an improvement from a Garmin GPS 12-MAP (which is not manufactured anymore). The color display is crisp and simple to read in different natural light sources I have encountered thus far. The size is ideal for use in a vehicle and the buttons are a superb size (not like the buttons found on a blackberry where you almost require a stylus to push one button at a time.)

It finds and locks in on satellite signals in as little as ten seconds, even inside, not to mention under cloud cover, wooded areas, etc.

The screen is great and highly viewable even in bright direct sunlight. To put it as simply as possible, I love this GPS. I can't imagine anyone not liking this - it really is that good.

A lot of other GPS receivers have a reputation for losing the signal under cloudy conditions or in areas with a lot of tree cover, but I've never lost the signal with this unit yet; I can generally even get a signal indoors in my wood framed home.

I was just looking for an odometer to take along while hiking, but made the decision to go for a unit with mapping capabilities and I've been happy with this unit for hiking, cycling and driving.

What I was looking for in a new GPS was paperless caching and ease of use - and the Garmin Oregon 450t was exactly what I needed.

The geocaching capabilities of this unit were flawless; all you have to do is hit the "send to GPS" button and the cache name, coordinates and size are sent to the unit instantly. If you upgrade to a paid membership (about $30 annually), then you can also download recent logs, full description, hint and any other important information about the cache, including parking areas and other points of interest. It's a lot easier than a map, in other words.

I have used a number of similar devices in the past, and most were consumed with problems and fell short in many areas. However, the  eXplorist 510 really sets the bar when it comes to the competing models in the same field, and it can do so with style.

One of the first thoughts you are bound to have when you open the eXplorist 510's box is how tiny the actual device is. Another is that the device's color screen is large in relation to the rest of the unit. This gives you a grea deal of clarity and detail, yet it is small enough to fit into the smallest of hands.

The actual touch screen display is extremely comfy to work with, precise. The software is wonderful, plenty of functions, received everything I needed. The digital camera takes great photos, I was thinking I would not like it, however I was drastically wrong. Life of the battery is a touch limited, yet acceptable, can perform for 6-8 hours. A real awesome product, most joyful purchase of the season.
