Reviews of the Sky Caddie SG3.5V GPS

Since getting this device for Christmas, I have tried it on two courses in cities located 400 miles apart. The courses were simple to locate and download. The device was precise and simple to use. I do not have to wonder how far it is to reach the creek that crosses that fairway or how far I hit a certain club, or the number of putts I had during the game. It makes the experience of playing close to your home course or a new course an awesome, even if you are not doing as well as you like in your game.

Reviews of The Garmin FR60 Fitness Watch

Like the ANT agent for uploading it is simple to operate.  I must just mention however that the watch hand broke at the point where it meets the face.  I am unable to determine if faulty construction is to blame of if it was due to the fact that a stiff band is unsuitable for a mid-size wrist.  Whatever the reason within only six hours I was contacted by someone from customer services.  Now I have to wait until they send it because I miss having it on my wrist when I'm running.

By the way a pony tail holder works like a charm!

Reviews of the Polar RS300X SD Heart Rate Monitor Watch

1. Purchasing a watch with a heart rate monitor feature needs to be easily adjustable and comfortable. It should be a simple process to change the battery manually, which is what the Polar RS300X SD heart rate monitor watch provides. Yes the instructions can be a bit difficult for anyone, but after practicing them a few times around it will be much easier. Just take the time to read over all the different features and eventually the process will become natural.

Reviews of the Timex Ironman Global Trainer GPS

1. It's been amount three months since I grabbed the Timex Ironman Global Trainer GPS and it's FANTASTIC! Right now I'm enjoying a little vacation time and using it while swimming everyday. It tracks my mileage, has a huge amount of battery life, and even a web based map function. Out of all the ones I own (Pathfinder, Citizens, Ulysse Nardins, etc.) it's my favorite choice. Best of all the local fishermen are amazed on any island I want to swim.

Reviews of the Garmin Edge 800

I picked up a Garmin Edge 800 a few months back and upgraded the firmware to the latest version and just like you'd expect with a Garmin GPS, the GPS functions work perfectly. While I have yet to figure out exactly how to work the road calculation functions, but other than that it's flawless. The FIT map format hasn't been an issue for me at all, especially since I can export GPX, TCX and KML formats.

Reviews of the Garmin Edge 500

I recently purchased the Edge 500 as a replacement for my 4 year old Garmin Edge 305 and I was blown away!  It is so compact when compared with the 305.

While still in the parking lot I turned my new Edge 500 on in my car and within just 10 seconds it had locked onto a signal.  I was still accustomed to waiting about a minute or two with my 305 which sometimes wouldn't even lock on even though I was parked at the curb!

Reviews of the Garmin Forerunner 405CX

Having logged around 150 miles with my device thus far I can honestly say that I really like it but then I have yet to compare it with others.  I think it works very well and the features are definitely appreciated.  I like uploading my results to my PC and/or on the Garmin Connect website.  Although it isn't the simplest to use because it is capable of doing so much there are still loads of options available.  I still need to customize to my individual tastes and needs but so far I have no real complaints and don't regret the purchase in the least.

Reviews of the Garmin Foretrex 401

The Foretrex 101 and the Foretrex 401 may appear similar but they really are quite different.  Whereas satellite acquisition was slow with the 101 the 401 is very fast.  Unlike the 101 that uses watch pins on the strap the 401 uses screws.  The battery life definitely is superior to those that came before it.  I happen to work in a business that requires fast grid location and the 401 certainly does not disappoint and there is no need to leave the GPS on constantly.  It takes just thirty seconds to pinpoint your location.  Without a doubt this is a great product and gets two thumbs up.

Reviews of the Garmin Foretrex 301

This is a convenient and Hands-Free GPS Receive

Pros:  Lightweight, precise, compact, simple to use, displays two positions simultaneously including both longitude and latitude, UTM, GMRS, and if in the GPX format data can be saved.

Cons:  Low resolution, limited usability of the strap.

Notes:  This does not offer mapping and turn-by-turn functions however it is not meant to.  It does display tracks, straight-line distance and bearing which are all basic GPSr functions.

Although I do own both a Magellan Meridian Gold as well as a Garmin Etrex Legend HCx and I have put both to plenty of use, I have also used the Foretrex 301.

Reviews of The Garmin Forerunner 405

1.1 While you are running you are able to lock the bezel touch wheel, which is itself great, simply by simultaneously pressing the 2 buttons on the side, however if you have completed the setup properly you don't need to use it while running anyway.

1.2 Although some have moaned about ‘limited data' showing on the display this is not entirely accurate.  But going to the Data Field setting you can arrange for a total of three different displays with up to three different items also displayed which means you have a total of 35 different types of displays.  In other words, if you have the heart rate and virtual partner screen you effectively have five different screens scrolling simultaneously.
