Reviews of The Garmin FR60 Fitness Watch

1. I really like the Garmin FR60. Even the strap for the chest is comfy. A very simple and handy feature is
online Garmin Connect where there are lots of reports available. When it comes to responding to queries
Garmin is on the ball. I also own the foot pad which I love and use on my runs. As of now I'm pretty sure that
there are plenty of other features I still need to discover. It's really simple to operate and it's quick to
calibrate. This is what I've discovered thus far: When it comes to using an elliptical the FR60 doesn't do
the mileage but it will record both mileage and calories burned even without the chest strap. Up to now I
haven't used it while swimming but although it claims to be waterproof I am still reluctant to try it out in the
pool. Although I've used it while riding my bike I do not yet own the right accessory. Although it still informed
me of my heart rate and the calories I was burning it didn't tell me the distance covered. I really love the
sleeker design and that it isn't so heavy and bulky when I wear it. Because it closely resembles a sports watch you
can feel comfortable using it. I really could go on and one and I've told everyone I know about how great it
is. I am so pleased that I decided to buy it!
2. Before buying this I bought a Timex but it only featured a heartbeat monitor and I needed something to
accurately track the distances I ran. I considered purchasing the Ironman Timex GPS but when I tried it on I found
it to be too bulky. While my husband chose to buy it I opted for the FR60 with the footpad.
All I can say is that the FR60 is fantastic! It makes no difference if I train indoors or outside while my
hubby cannot get any GPS due to the fact that we're city dwellers. The obvious deduction is that the Timex is only
good for the heartbeat monitor because most of the other features required GPS and he could get a signal whether he
was inside or outside.
The FR60 is really easy to use and the numbers are large on the display. Navigating the features is easily
accomplished and if you have the foot pad you can track your laps with impressive accuracy.
Because I have been so impressed with it my hubby and I bought another two taking the total we own to
three. My hubby and I each use one and then the third can be loaned to a friend when they run with you. I
truly recommend it to anyone contemplating purchasing a training watch.
3. The only thing I've had some difficulty with is changing the mode if I haven't used it for a whole day.
But once I get the right mode it is simple and wonderful to use.
At New Leaf I upload my stats and see how many calories and fat calories I burned off. Thanks to this
device I really have felt more motivated.
4. Like the ANT agent for uploading it is simple to operate. I must just mention however that the watch
hand broke at the point where it meets the face. I am unable to determine if faulty construction is to blame
of if it was due to the fact that a stiff band is unsuitable for a mid-size wrist. Whatever the reason within
only six hours I was contacted by someone from customer services. Now I have to wait until they send it
because I miss having it on my wrist when I'm running.
By the way a pony tail holder works like a charm!
